first MOOC about OOP with Smalltalk and Seaside?

Dear Smalltalkers! There is an initiative for funding the development of massive open online courses (moocs) by the "Stifterverband für die deutsche Wissenschaft"" (http://www.stifterverband.info/ueber_den_stifterverband/english/index.html) You can get information about a running competition (MOOC PRODUCTION FELLOWSHIP) here: https://moocfellowship.org. Following the link https://moocfellowship.org/submissions/objektorientierte-programmierung-von… YOU CAN VOTE for the course offered by me resp. the NORDAKADEMIE (www.nordakademie.de) For voting you have to register by Facebook or email only. The MOOC we want to build will be based on a blended learning course we have been pursuing as a first year programming course under the headline "object oriented development of web applications" since a couple of years. During this class the students learn object oriented programming from the beginning using Smalltalk and Seaside. Since the material of our blended learning course is in German the first version of the projected MOOC will be in German, too. Getting one of the awards should offer the possibility to build an English version later on. Stef, Thanks.... I am hoping that there will be more interaction with Pharo as well ... As I said in a comment on my blog post[1]: ...right now though, our first priority is to smoothly transition from VMware to GemTalk and make sure that our existing customer base (both paid and free) are taken care of. Frankly at the moment there is no second priority:) Once we get things stabilized we will start talking about moving forward and I will be pushing for more active involvement with Pharo. [ANN] GemStone/S product and team move to a dedicated company

If you haven't already heard, the GemStone/S team is becoming an independent company after 3 years as part of VMware. The entire engineering team is moving to GemTalk Systems[1]. GemTalk Systems is completely focused on Smalltalk, GemStone/S and allied initiatives. GSOC deadline is really approaching

What is really important is that all the smart students should get some money and help the community to grow and get better. I will propose to the esug board to support (up to the reasonable) projects that would not be funded by google with the money we got from previous year mentors. So this is important that all the students register and write their proposals. This is something I'm *very* interested in, and just clicked through to fill it out. It wouldn't render properly, I'm using Safari. I was unable to even read the first question. If this is a known issue, please advise the work around. If it's not, I can provide screenshots or something for debugging.
