Hi, The registration server does right now not provide a list... making it completely public would not be a good idea, but we can think of adding that to the registration system in the next development iteration. Hi, Just a reminder: ESUG 2011 Innovation Technology Awards (http://esug.org/Conferences/2011/InnovationTechnologyAwards) We are proud to announce the 8th Innovation Technology Awards. Have you written innovative Smalltalk? The developers of any Smalltalk-based software can enter by submitting a 3-5min video of their software. Entrants demo their systems in a session at the end of Monday August 22nd 2011, after which the conference attendees vote. (A vote consists in providing a sorted list of 3 preferred pieces of software.) The top 3 teams with the most innovative software will receive, respectively, 500 Euros, 300 Euros and 200 Euros. The results are announced in the Awards ceremony that is held during the social event. Applicants should provide the following information on the conference registration server. Once you have registered your personal info, an "Awards" menu allows submitting your software. You can provide this information when you first register, or login again later and update your details. Info to provide: Name of the software Licence information (free, or shareware, or a commercial) Name of the Smalltalk dialect used Names, Affiliation and Country of developers URL for a video (3-5 min) showing a screencast / demo of the software URL for downloading the software or at least a runnable demo Deadline: 30th of july Any Smalltalker can apply (students, companies, ...). The presented piece of code/software should be written in Smalltalk or directly support Smalltalk (e.g. Smalltalk VM). All Smalltalk dialects are accepted. The applicant should own the copyright/copyleft of presented code or at least be the official representative of the copyright/copyleft owner. Hi guys. I am reading http://www.esug.org/wiki/pier/Conferences/2011/InnovationTechnologyAwards/S… it says "Once you have registered your personal info, an "Awards" menu allows submitting your software.". I went to the registration website (I was already registered) but I couldn't find any menu "Awards". The only thing I found was under "My Registration" -> "Proposed Awards" which of course is empty and I cannot add from there. So...how should I do it? I am happy to announce the new release version 1.5. Below is the list of changes. In next days we will update the home page with current state. For example, we have much more to show in benchmarks section. Of course, we have many ideas and new issues to keep working on Fuel. Again, I have to thank ESUG for sponsoring me for Fuel development through the SummerTalk program. Changes on 1.5: - Initialize instances after materialization implementing #fuelAfterMaterialization. - Ignore transient instance variables overriding #fuelIgnoredInstanceVariableNames. - Limit serialization progress bar to update at most once every 250 milliseconds. - Traits are serialized and materialized as a regular objects (http://code.google.com/p/fuel/issues/detail?id=59) - Removed mappers system cache (Eliot). - Many new tests. - Benchmarks: compare Fuel against StOMP, SRP, SIXX, Magma, EsAndEm and Fuel with progress bar. - Benchmarks: new samples, scripts, and CSV exporter. - Benchmarks: measure serialization stream size. - Removed some redundant #fuelAccept:. - Several aesthetic changes in protocols, categories and comments. - Now #materialize answers the materialized root. - Removed special cluster for HashedCollection.Now #rehash is sended via #fuelAfterMaterialization. - MethodContext serialization does not serialize temps (http://code.google.com/p/fuel/issues/detail?id=61) - Classes and Traits now serialize its environment (testCreateWithSmalltalkGlobalsEnvironment). - Fixed serialization of non-octet characters (testCharacter). - Fixed a bug serializing the system dictionary. Recherche et Publications ------------------------- 1) Software Visualization: We have developed two visualizations, Package Blueprint et Package Fingerprint, that help in understanding and analyzing package structure, relationships and roles within a given OO software system. These visualizations have produced three papers published into two international conferences, ICSM'07 & CSMR'08, and into the IST-Elsevier journal. A fourth paper is currently submitted in the IEEE-TSE journal. 2) Optimization Algorithms: We developed an optimization algorithm based on Simulated Annealing approach that automatically optimize the package structure and relationships within a given OO software system. This work has produced a paper published in WCRE'09 conference. 3) Software Metrics: We have developed a set of metrics that assess the extent to which a given OO modularization follows the principles of good modularity.
