Dan Ingalls Keynote

Please note: Of all the recorded talks at Camp Smalltalk Supreme, Dan
Ingalls' talk was the *only *one whose audio track Audacity couldn't
amplify very much without clipping. I have no idea why — I'm not an audio
engineer.

So, the amount of amplification is quite modest. However, I did reduce
background noise so that you can crank the volume way up on your computer
to max. Then you can hear Dan fairly easily.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Cheers,
Richard

People have been complaining that Dan Ingalls' talk is inaudible on a
laptop. So I've created an audio enhanced version just for laptop users:
https://youtu.be/1vEEH-eJYUM.

The trade-off is more background hiss but there's nothing I can do about
it. The problem is in the source material. I can only work with what I've
got.

Hi Richard--

I normalized the audio for you, it's at [1]. You just need to add

your sound effect at the beginning again (it's much louder than the rest
of the movie; I excluded it from the normalization). The timing should
be the same.

Thanks for producing the conference and movies!
