I trust everyone appreciated that the word 'some' was an example of English understatement. :-) As James said, it is a job that, if not literally 'thankless' - this subthread offers some thanks - is certainly little thanked relative to the work involved. Several people said nice things to me about last year's conference, but Stef and the others get this every year; I only had to do it once.
